Janne Huotari

Janne Huotari is a Senior Research and Development Engineer at NAPA since March 2022, focusing on alternative ship energy systems aimed at reducing fuel consumption and enabling green shipping. Prior to this role, Janne was a Doctoral Student at Aalto University from August 2018 to March 2022, where research centered on similar themes in sustainability. Janne's experience includes work as a Master's Thesis writer at CERN, analyzing tolerances for the CMS detector's upgrade, and a Mechanical Design Trainee at Eaton, where mechanical improvements to uninterruptible power systems were designed. Additionally, Janne has held positions in customer-facing roles such as a Ticket Sales Representative at Slush and an Aftersales Worker at Gigantti Oy, alongside academic roles as a Course Assistant at Aalto University. Janne holds a Doctor of Engineering, a Master's, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Aalto University.
