Amy Bobeda serves as the Naropa Writing Center Director at Naropa University since July 2021, facilitating a joyful writing process across curriculums. Prior experience includes roles as an Adjunct Instructor in Writing & Poetics and Associate Costume Director/Hair and Makeup Supervisor with the Berkeley Repertory Theatre and Bay Area Children's Theatre, respectively. Since 2011, Amy has worked freelance in hair and makeup styling and costume design, contributing to numerous projects in the Bay Area. Previous positions include Assistant Costume Shop Manager and Assistant Designer at Berkeley Repertory Theatre, as well as various roles at Shakespeare Santa Cruz and UC Santa Cruz. Amy holds an MFA in Creative Writing & Poetics from Naropa University and a BA in Technical Theatre/Theatre Design and Technology from UC Santa Cruz, along with certifications in Creative Writing and Cosmetology.
