Marc Goettel has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Marc started their career as an instructor at the University of Oregon before moving on to work at Southern California Edison. At Southern California Edison, they held multiple director positions where they oversaw financial management, process integration, and asset management. Marc also provided financial controls and procurement support for the nuclear division of the company. After their tenure at Southern California Edison, they joined MJG Consulting as a Principal. Currently, they serve as the Director for Business Operations at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where they previously held roles such as Acting CFO and Deputy CFO. In their current position, they are responsible for a wide range of operations, including finance, strategy, project controls, procurement, contracts, facilities, logistics, security, and emergency management.
Marc Goettel completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the W. P. Carey School of Business – Arizona State University in 1979. Marc then pursued an MBA from the same institution, completing it in 1982. Later, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Finance from the University of Oregon, finishing in 1996.
