Dave Salvagnini currently serves as the NASA Chief Data Officer, having transitioned to this role in June 2023 after 22 years in the IT sector within the Intelligence Community. Prior to this position, Dave was the Director of the Architecture Integration Group and Chief Enterprise Architect at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence from March 2021 to June 2023. Previous experience includes various leadership roles at the United States Department of Defense, including Technical Director, Chief Information Officer, Chief Data Officer, Deputy Chief of Enterprise IT Operations and Cyber Services, and Chief Architect for the Intelligence Community Desktop Environment. Dave holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Computer Systems from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and has completed executive education in Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Innovation, and Strategy at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
