James Anastas

James Anastas has extensive experience in market operations and trading, currently serving as Head of Market Operations for US Options at Nasdaq since June 2016. Prior to this role, James was a Director of Market Operations at ISE from January 2011 to June 2016, where responsibilities included monitoring and maintaining the equity options market. James also held the position of Compliance Manager and Floor Manager at Taylor Execution Services, LLC from August 2003 to December 2010, overseeing trading operations and client relationships. Earlier in their career, James was an Equity Derivatives Trader at Spear Leeds & Kellogg from 1994 to 2003, recognized as a top performer in trading on major exchanges. James holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business from Virginia Military Institute and has further education from the New York Institute of Finance.
