David Downing is an experienced professional in the field of financial aid and student services, currently serving as an NASFAA U Instructor for the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators since October 2019. Prior to this role, David held positions at Arizona State University as Associate Director of Financial Aid Operations and at Washington State University as Assistant Director of Communications for Student Financial Services, where responsibilities included overseeing marketing and strategic communications. David's earlier experience includes roles at Apollo Group, where David managed projects related to financial aid implementation and training, as well as at Affiliated Computer Services, where David directed call center operations and campus relations. David holds a Master of Education degree in Adult Education and Training from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Western International University.
