Shawn Neil

Shawn Neil has extensive experience in advancement and donor relations, currently serving as the Director of Advancement Services at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine since February 2013. Previously, Shawn held the position of Director of Donor Relations and Development Operations at Defenders of Wildlife and served in various roles at The National Academies, Foundation for the National Institutes of Health, National Geographic Society, and National Trust for Historic Preservation, focusing on gift management and database administration. Shawn began a career in education as a Math and Science Teacher at Mennonite Central Committee after earning a BA in Mathematics Education from Eastern Mennonite University.
