Don Garrett

Don GARRETT has extensive experience in the fields of laboratory management and workplace health and safety, with a career spanning over four decades. Currently serving as an Assessor for the National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia since January 2017, Don also works as a self-employed WHS consultant since June 2019. Previously, Don held significant positions at Virtus Health, IVFAustralia, as the National Work Health and Safety Officer and Workplace Environment Manager, as well as Laboratory Manager at IVF Australia, focusing on reproductive endocrinology. Don began the career at UNSW Womens and Childrens Health as Laboratory Manager and started as a Scientist at Sydney Pathology, specializing in biochemistry and serology. Don holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Technology Sydney and has additional training in pathology and biochemistry from TAFE NSW.
