Shawn Provencher has a diverse work experience in safety, security, and risk assessment. In 1993, they served as a Deputy Sheriff at the York County Sheriffs Department before joining the United States Marine Corps as a Military Police officer from 1988 to 1992. From 1995 to 1998, they worked in the pulp and paper industry as a Safety Coordinator at Northeast Industrial, where they developed and administered safety programs. As a Safety & Human Resources Supervisor at SW&B Construction from 1998 to 1999, they supervised field safety personnel and developed site-specific safety programs. At Kvaerner, they served as a Safety & Security Manager from 1999 to 2000, overseeing safety, security, and quality programs for a construction project. From 2000 to 2001, they worked as a Safety & Security Manager at HHG, where they developed and implemented safety and security programs for a major construction project. From 2001 to 2005, they served as an Assistant Vice President at Marsh, providing consulting expertise and performing security and safety assessments for clients. In 2005, they established their own company, Provencher Consulting & Management Services, where they served as President and provided consulting expertise in safety, security, and risk assessments for various industries. From 2005 to the present, they have also been the Corporate Safety Director at National Boiler Service, Inc. Overall, Shawn Provencher has a strong background in safety, security, and risk assessment, with experience in both the public and private sectors.
Shawn Provencher, WSO-CSM, has a solid educational background in Applied Technical Leadership and Law Enforcement Technology. Shawn attended the University of Southern Maine from 1992 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Technical Leadership. In addition, Shawn Provencher also pursued an Associate of Applied Science degree in Law Enforcement Technology from Southern Maine Technical College from 1993 to 1994. These educational experiences have equipped Shawn Provencher with a diverse skill set and knowledge base to contribute effectively in various professional environments.
