David Barnes, CAE, has an extensive background in mathematics education. Starting as an Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri, David later transitioned to the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics where David held various leadership roles including Director of Online Resources and Standards Coordinator. Currently serving as the Associate Executive Director at NCTM, David oversees Research, Learning, and Development. With a PhD in Math Education from The University of Georgia, David's career has been dedicated to improving math education.
