Chris Hartmann

Chris Hartmann is an experienced Patent Attorney currently employed at the National Energy Technology Laboratory since January 2023. Prior to this role, Hartmann served as Deputy Intellectual Property Counsel at Pratt & Whitney from May 2019 to April 2022, and held positions as Assistant Intellectual Property Counsel at United Technologies Research Center from December 2015 to April 2019 and from April 2012 to September 2014. Hartmann has extensive experience as an Intellectual Property Attorney with Sikorsky Aircraft, Carrier Corporation, AT&T, Burns Doane Swecker and Mathis, LLP, and Snell & Wilmer. Hartmann holds a Doctor of Law (JD) in Intellectual Property Law from Washington University in St. Louis, completed in May 1997, and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same institution, earned in May 1993.
