Darren Christie is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in project management and financial oversight within the construction and utility sectors. Currently serving as Project Director for Major Projects at National Gas, Darren leads a team on gas compressor and pipeline projects, focusing on design, contract, and cost management to enhance the UK's National Transmission System. Prior roles include Head of Finance for both National Gas and National Grid Gas Transmission, where oversight of significant RIIO-T2 investment portfolios was crucial. With a background at Wolseley as a Senior Finance Manager and prior positions at Ford Motor Company, Darren has built a solid foundation in financial analysis and management throughout a diverse career. Darren holds a BA (Hons) in Economics & Marketing from the University of Strathclyde and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
