Michael Harrington

Michael Harrington is an accomplished leader in strategy and transformation within the energy sector, currently serving as Director of Strategy & Transformation for National Grid since July 2021. In this role, Michael has successfully coordinated the overall transformation strategy and aligned long-term plans across various business units. Prior to joining National Grid, Michael spent over a decade at Con Edison in various leadership roles, including Department Manager of the Innovation Hub, where corporate innovation was advanced to meet climate objectives, and Department Manager of Utility and Storage Strategy, where significant energy storage projects were developed. Michael's early experiences include contributions to the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon and the White House Council on Environmental Quality. Educational credentials include a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Notre Dame.
