Matt Kooiman

Matt Kooiman currently serves as the Director of Government Relations and Growth at National Heritage Academies since December 2019, after previously holding the position of Government Relations Manager. Prior to this role, Matt Kooiman was the District Director for Congressman Bill Huizenga in the U.S. House of Representatives from December 2012 to December 2019, where responsibilities included representing the Congressman at various events and fostering relationships with local officials. Additionally, as the Field Director for Hoekstra for Senate in early 2012, Matt Kooiman managed grassroots efforts and coordinated campaign activities in Michigan. Matt Kooiman also contributed as an Assistant Coach for Grand Rapids Christian Youth Football from 2009 to 2012, focusing on the 8th-grade offensive and defensive line. Matt Kooiman holds both a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Public and Non-Profit Administration from Grand Valley State University, acquired in 2020 and 2011, respectively.
