Clair Gallagher

Clair Gallagher currently serves as the CONCEPT Infrastructure Manager at the NIBRT National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training, overseeing a core facility for biotherapy development where researchers receive support for advanced therapeutic generation. Previously, Clair worked as the Flow Cytometry Core Facility Manager at Dublin City University, facilitating cell- and particle-based analysis, and conducted research on biopharmaceutical production at the National Institute for Cellular Biotechnology, focusing on transcriptomic and proteomic profiles. Clair also held the role of Bioprocess Scientist, specializing in hybridoma media production, and contributed to stem cell research in a pan-European project under the EU's Horizon 2020 initiative. Academic credentials include a PhD and MSc from Cranfield University and a BSc from Waterford Institute of Technology, all focusing on aspects of biology and bioinformatics.

The National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT) is a global centre of excellence for training and research in bioprocessing. NIBRT is located in a new, world class facility in Dublin, Ireland. This facility is purpose built to closely replicate a modern bioprocessing plant with state of the art equipment. NIBRT is based on an innovative collaboration between University College Dublin, Trinity College Dublin, Dublin City University and the Institute of Technology, Sligo.
