Courtney Grate

Courtney Grate currently serves as an Interagency Policy and iEdison Specialist at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), a position held since September 2024. Prior to this role, Courtney accumulated over a decade of experience at NUtech Ventures, progressing from Commercialization Analyst to Senior Intellectual Property Manager. Notable experience also includes an externship at the USPTO, where responsibilities encompassed response to petitions and analysis of PTAB decisions. Courtney's academic background includes a Doctor of Law (J.D.) with a concentration in Intellectual Property Law and a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
