Fiona Turgeon

Fiona Turgeon, PMP, currently serves as the Project Engineer and Project Management Office Lead at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), where responsibilities include developing a new project proposal process and leading the establishment of a Project Management Office for the Engineering Department at the NCNR. Prior experience includes roles as a Program Manager and Satellite Engineer at Hughes Network Systems, overseeing capacity management and maintaining network frequency plans. Fiona's early career featured internships at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, where projects ranged from designing autonomous marine vehicles to analyzing hydrodynamic performance. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Maryland, complemented by leadership training from Leadership Montgomery.
