Brittany Marsden

Brittany Marsden currently serves as the Chief of the NOS Budget Formulation Division at NOAA, where the focus is on providing science-based solutions for ocean and coastal management. Brittany has held various leadership roles within NOAA and its National Environmental Satellite, Data, & Information Service, including Acting Branch Chief positions where responsibilities included budget management and program analysis. With a strong academic background, Brittany earned a PhD in Marine - Estuarine - Environmental Sciences from the University of Maryland, where research centered on ecosystem resilience in aquatic plants impacted by climate change. Brittany's experience also encompasses fellowships and internships at prominent environmental organizations, contributing to environmental policy and education efforts.
