Emily Brown currently serves as an ORISE Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) since November 2023. Prior to this role, Emily was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Florida Gulf Coast University from August 2021 to October 2023 and a Graduate Student and Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology from July 2015 to August 2021, where involvement included a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship focusing on "Chemosensory Mechanisms of Toxin Induction in Phytoplankton." Emily earned a Ph.D. in Biology with a specialization in Marine Chemical Ecology from the Georgia Institute of Technology (2015-2020) and a B.S. in Marine Biology and Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (2010-2014).
