Ken Connell is an experienced oceanographer and manager currently working at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory since July 2016. Prior to this role, Connell served as a Senior Coastal Oceanographer at Golder Associates from 2008 to 2016 and held the position of Coastal Oceanographer at Pacific International Engineering PLLC for a brief period in 2008. Additionally, Connell worked as a Research Physical Scientist at the Engineer Research and Development Center's Coastal and Hydraulics Laboratory from 2005 to 2008, and as a Hydrographer at Morgan & Eklund, Inc. from 1998 to 2003. Connell began the professional journey as a Research Assistant at Scientific Environmental Applications, Inc. in 1998. Connell holds a Master of Science degree in Physical Oceanography from the Florida Institute of Technology.
