Parisa Heidary

Parisa Heidary is a Physical Scientist currently working with NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration and Ocean Associates, Inc. since April 2024. Parisa previously served as a Visiting Research Fellow at The George Washington University and contributed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at the same institution, focusing on hydrology and variational data assimilation techniques. Prior experience includes roles at the Iran Water Research Institute, where algorithms for remote sensing of snow parameters were developed, and the Remote Sensing Research Center, which involved analyzing dust patterns in Lake Urmia. Parisa's academic foundation includes a PhD in Civil Engineering from The George Washington University and an MS in Environmental Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, complemented by a background in civil engineering and applied mathematics.
