Sachiko Lamen

Sachiko Lamen is currently a Program Analyst and Advisory Council Coordinator at NOAA's Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary, having previously served as a California Sea Grant Fellow within NOAA's Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary. Prior experience includes a Digital Media Intern position at Blue Nature Alliance, where Sachiko reviewed engagement site goals and authored blog posts and press releases. As an Ocean Guide with Channel Island Expeditions and through various roles at NOAA, Conservation International, and The Nature Conservancy, Sachiko has developed skills in communications, project management, and stakeholder engagement. Educationally, Sachiko holds a Bachelor of Science in Aquatic Biology/Limnology and a Master's in Environmental Science and Management focused on Coastal Marine Resource Management and Conservation Planning from UC Santa Barbara.
