Zachary Decker is a Research Scientist II at the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences, focusing on stratospheric chemical observations and modeling to understand the earth’s radiation budget. With expertise in data analysis and modeling, Zachary developed software to merge observational datasets and assess gas-to-particle reaction rates. Previous experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at the Paul Scherrer Institut PSI, leading mass spectrometry measurements on aircraft emissions, and multiple research positions assessing air quality impacts. Zachary holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Colorado Boulder and a B.A. in Chemistry from New College of Florida.
