Poppy Andrews has extensive experience in communications within the arts sector, currently serving as Head of Communications at the National Portrait Gallery since January 2022, after holding the position of Senior Communications Manager. Prior to this role, Poppy worked at the Imperial War Museums as Communications Manager for Exhibitions and Programming, as well as Press Officer from April 2017 to December 2021. Poppy's career in communications began at UBS from January 2016 to March 2017, where valuable experience was gained through coordinating the 'WOMEN: New Portraits' exhibition by Annie Leibovitz. Additional experience includes positions as Communications Assistant at Turner Contemporary and Communications and Marketing Intern at The Barber Institute of Fine Arts. Poppy holds a BA in English Literature and History of Art from the University of Birmingham and a Foundation in Art and Design from the University of Gloucestershire.
