Michael Biedenstein, CPRE, serves as the Membership Engagement Manager at the National Recreation and Park Association since October 2021, where responsibilities include overseeing the NRPA awards program and facilitating volunteer opportunities. With extensive experience in park and recreation management, Biedenstein has previously led a team of over 310 employees as the Park Program Services Division Manager for St. Louis County and coordinated more than 200 events serving over 200,000 visitors as a Recreation Events Coordinator. Earlier roles include Recreation Supervisor for the City of Eureka and various positions in parks and recreation for St. Louis County and the City of Kirkwood. Biedenstein holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Science in Recreation from Southeast Missouri State University.
