Afiya Perry

Afiya Perry is a seasoned HR professional with extensive experience in human resources and administration. Currently serving as a People+Culture Associate at the National Restaurant Association since April 2015, Afiya leads various HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and compliance, while playing a pivotal role in fostering workplace culture through DEI initiatives. Previously, Afiya held roles such as Foundation Operations & Administration Manager, where a 30% improvement in departmental efficiency was achieved, and Executive Assistant to the EVP, providing high-level administrative support and negotiating vendor contracts to reduce costs. Afiya also served as an Executive Assistant at the Council of Foundations and the American Council on Education, and as a Human Resources Coordinator & Assistant to the CEO at L&E Meridian. Afiya holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
