Christian Beckner

Christian Beckner is an experienced leader in technology, cybersecurity, and public policy, currently serving as the Executive Director of the NRF Center for Digital Risk & Innovation at the National Retail Federation since February 2018. Beckner has held various significant roles, including Vice President of Retail Technology and Cybersecurity at NRF, and Senior Director at the Commercial Facilities Sector Coordinating Council. Additionally, Beckner is an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Center for a New American Security and has served on the Board of Directors of the Global Resilience Federation. Previous experience includes leadership positions within the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, IBM, and think tanks such as the Center for Strategic and International Studies and the Center for Cyber and Homeland Security at George Washington University. Beckner holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and English from Stanford University and both an MBA and MSFS from Georgetown University.
