Gloria Jacobovitz

Gloria Jacobovitz, Ph.D., is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in advisory roles and academia. As the Customer Account Lead at VTT since June 2024, Gloria focuses on sectors including quantum technologies, healthcare, and optics. Active participation on the Board of Advisors for the UMD Discovery Fund and the Advisory Board of the Quantum Startup Foundry highlights a commitment to fostering innovation. Gloria contributes as a reviewer for both Science Foundation Ireland and the National Science Foundation, demonstrating expertise in scientific evaluation. Additionally, Gloria serves as Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors at Vasoptic Medical, Inc., and has been a faculty member at Johns Hopkins University since January 2014, specializing in Entrepreneurship and Independent Studies. A physicist at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory until June 2024, Gloria holds multiple degrees including a PhD in Physics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas, a Master’s in Biotechnology from The Johns Hopkins University, and an executive education certificate from Harvard Business School in negotiation and competitive decision-making.
