Vanessa Lazaro is a doctoral student at the University of Chicago and also serves as a Graduate Research Fellow at both the National Science Foundation and the Institute of Education Sciences. Additionally, Vanessa holds a position as a Predoctoral Fellow at the Early Childhood Research Alliance of Chicago. Prior experience includes working as a Lab Manager at Arizona State University and as a Grader for The Graide Network, where effective feedback was provided to K-12 teachers. At Cornell University, Vanessa served as a Research Assistant in both the Automaticity Lab and the Integrative Neuroethology Lab, and as a Teaching Assistant for undergraduate courses. Leadership roles included serving as Vice President and Undergraduate Representative for the Cornell Filipino Association. Vanessa's educational background includes a PhD and MA in Psychology from the University of Chicago, a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Inequality Studies from Cornell University, and an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Willow Canyon High School.
