Vijay Raghavan is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, with extensive experience in computer science and academia. Since March 2024, Raghavan has been involved with the IEEE BigData Conference as a Conference Steering Committee Member since 2013. Prior to this role, Raghavan served as an Associate Editor for the ACM Transactions on Internet Technology and as a Program Committee member for ISMIS Conferences. Raghavan has been a panelist for the National Science Foundation, contributing to the Computer and Information Science/Engineering Directorate. Raghavan holds a PhD in Computing Science from the University of Alberta, an MBA from McMaster University, and a BTech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
