Paula Sind-Prunier

Paula Sind-Prunier serves as the Chief Learning Officer and Director of Career Development & Training at the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) since February 1999, where Paula leads initiatives aimed at enhancing the internal workforce through comprehensive training programs, including leadership development and technical training in investigative processes. In addition to this role, Paula acts as the Senior Agency Advisor for Disability Employment, contributing to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) initiatives, and previously managed the NTSB Training Center, overseeing a range of workforce development training for both employees and external entities. Prior experience includes positions as Chief of the Executive Secretariat, Chief of Safety Recommendations, and Senior Accident Investigator at NTSB, as well as roles within the US Army, U.S. Coast Guard, and academic institutions. Paula holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research from Virginia Tech and has an extensive background in training, safety recommendations, and accident investigations.
