Kevin Hynes

Kevin Hynes serves as the Head of Systems & Technologies at the University of Galway, a position held since November 2007, where responsibilities include the specification, procurement, and integration of various technologies that support teaching and learning, including audio-visual systems and online platforms like Blackboard and Kaltura. Prior roles at the University of Galway include Chief Technical Officer and Senior Technical Officer, focusing on AV support, system management, and research of new learning technologies. Earlier experience includes positions at Duolog Technologies as a Product Engineer/Systems Analyst and at Analog Devices as a Senior Design Evaluation Engineer and Project Test Development Engineer. Kevin Hynes holds an Executive MBA and an M.Sc. in Information Systems Management from the University of Galway, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering from the University of Limerick and a NCEA Diploma in Electronic Engineering from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology.
