George O. Skuggen CPCU has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. George O. started their career at Westfield Group/Westfield Insurance as a Commercial Underwriter in 1982. George O. then worked at Progressive Insurance as a Product Manager for the Truck Group from 1986 to 1992. Skuggen then joined USF&G Insurance Company as an Underwriting Director for Transportation Products from 1994 to 1997. George O. continued their career at Titan/Victoria/St Paul/USF&G as an Underwriting Director and Program Manager from 1997 to 1999. Skuggen then became the President of Northwoods Underwriting from 1999 to 2002. George O. worked at CNA Insurance as an AVP Transportation Group from 2002 to 2005. Skuggen then joined Westfield Group/Westfield Insurance again, this time as a Special Risk Leader/Region Executive from 2005 to 2011. George O. is currently the Senior Vice President at National Interstate Insurance Company, where they are responsible for the P&L for the Truck Transportation Group and Environmental Transportation. Additionally, Skuggen has served as the President of the Board of Directors at Avon Lake Catholic Credit Union since 2007.
George O. Skuggen CPCU completed their secondary education at Avon Lake High School from 1974 to 1978. George O. then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance at Miami University from 1978 to 1982. Additionally, they obtained the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) certification, although the specific institution and year of completion are unknown.
