Francesca dell'Acqua has extensive experience in international relations, humanitarian affairs, and electoral processes. Currently serving as Course Coordinator and Trainer at ISPI - Istituto per gli Studi di Politica Internazionale since 2004, Francesca also holds the position of Subject Matter Expert in Socio-Cultural Anthropology, Humanitarian Affairs, and Human Rights at NATO since 2006. Previous roles include Associate Director at Strategia Worldwide (2016-2019), Election Out of Country Voting Supervisor for IOM - UN Migration Agency in 2005, and various positions with the European Commission and OSCE as an election observer and supervisor. Francesca's educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democracy from the Global Campus of Human Rights and research in Sanskrit and Classical Indian Languages at the University of Madras. Francesca graduated from Università degli Studi di Milano in 1995.

North Atlantic Treaty Organization is a military alliance formed between 26 nations to enforce the North Atlantic Treaty of 1949. It provides a unique link between these two continents for consultation and cooperation in the field of defense and security, and the conduct of multinational crisis-management operations. NATO was originallyformed to combat the spread of communism, but has grown since then to provide a mutual defense from external threats.
