Vision Statement: NUSD will provide an engaging and safe learning community where all students will demonstrate responsibility, achieve academic and social-emotional growth, embrace diversity, and are prepared to make decisions about their college and career success. Natomas Unified is a growing district, with strong new programs and options for students and their families. Elementary Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) is deepening, with more students, expanded teacher training, and parent support nights scheduled throughout the year. International Baccalaureate candidate programmes exist at H. Allen Hight Elementary, Natomas Middle School, and Inderkum High School. The District has several career-based programs in Broadcast Media, Digital Media, Engineering, Health, Hospitality, Public Safety, Transportation, Business and Entrepreneurship, and Visual Arts and Technology. Natomas High School (NHS) has an emerging Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) program that has received local and state accolades for its robotics. NHS also has a myriad of Advanced Placement (AP) classes, including a new class for freshmen (AP Human Geography). Last year, The College Board recognized Natomas Unified as an AP Honor Roll District, one of a limited number of districts in the nation to receive this honor. Yes, there is a lot to be proud of and excited about.
