Team Leader St Natural Hazards Commission (nhc) at Natural Hazards Commission Toka Tū Ake

Ross Falloon is an experienced leader in the insurance and financial services sectors, currently serving as the Earthquake Claims Team Leader at the Earthquake Commission since March 2021, overseeing a Christchurch-based team. In addition to this role, Ross has been a Director and Driver at Corporate Plus Limited since July 2015. Previously, Ross worked as a Consultant at Seequent, where oversight of strategic projects was provided, and as the Regional Manager Southern at AMP Services (NZ) Ltd, responsible for leadership and business development. Ross has a long tenure at AXA New Zealand, where significant roles included Head of QAN and AXA Academy, focusing on compliance and training, as well as Head of Distribution Southern Region. Early in the career, Ross served as a Technical Adviser at AMP and spent eight years as a Police Detective with NZ Police, engaging in frontline and criminal investigation duties. Ross graduated from Mairehau High School in 1978.

Natural Hazards Commission Toka Tū Ake

The Natural Hazards Commission Toka Tu Ake is New Zealand’s unique response to its geological environment. NHC Toka Tū Ake provides insurance cover for damage to residential property caused by earthquakes, landslips, volcanic eruptions, hydrothermal activity and tsunamis. All New Zealanders with home and/or contents insurance automatically receive NHCover. Other key functions include: Administering the Natural Disaster Fund, facilitating and supporting research to help build understanding of natural disasters and how to mitigate damage, and implementing education initiatives using school programmes, advertising and collateral.
