Michael Carr has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Michael began their career as a Staff Accountant at Kiesling Associates LLP in 1986, and later worked as a Tax Accountant at Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. from 1988 to 1992. Carr then joined Chorus (which was later acquired by TDS) in 1992, where they held various positions including Finance Supervisor, Director of Accounting, and Vice President of Emerging Markets. From 1999 to 2005, Carr owned and operated various entrepreneurial ventures. In 2005, they became the CFO of GeoAnalytics, Inc., a Premier Spatial Intelligence firm, where they also served as the Chairperson of the Management Committee. In 2007, Carr joined Naviant as EVP & CFO, leading corporate development and finance efforts. In 2019, they became the President & CEO of Naviant, driving the company's growth and impact in client success, career growth, and community involvement. Additionally, Carr served as an Adjunct Faculty at Concordia University Wisconsin from 2003 to 2016, bringing their business knowledge to undergraduate and graduate students in business, finance, and accounting classes.
Michael Carr obtained a Diploma in 1982 from Des Moines Technical High School. Michael went on to earn a BBA in Accounting from Iowa State University - Ivy College of Business between the years 1982 and 1986. Later, from 1991 to 1993, Michael pursued their MBA in Diversified field from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
