Matthew Wilson BEng AMIChemE has a diverse work experience in the energy and chemical industries. Matthew is currently the Head of New Energy Markets at Navigator Terminals, where they focus on developing a portfolio of energy infrastructure projects for hydrogen, ammonia, CCUS, and SAF markets. Matthew is also a board member of Navigator Terminals and collaborates with stakeholders to drive growth in developing markets. Previously, Matthew worked as an Energy Transition Manager at Navigator Terminals, leading ambitious growth strategies in the areas of Energy Transition, Circular Economy, and Sustainability.
Before joining Navigator Terminals, Matthew was a member of the Sustainability and Energy Transition Committee at the Tank Storage Association, where they supported the achievement of the UK's climate neutrality targets. Matthew worked closely with over 60 member companies to promote energy transition and sustainability in the bulk storage and energy infrastructure sector.
Matthew also has a strong background in commercial and technical roles at Johnson Matthey. As the Global Commercial Manager for catalyst technologies, they created and led the strategic plan for the development and expansion of structured catalyst technology in the Hydrogen, Methanol, and Ammonia markets. Matthew also served as the Strategic Hydrogen Sales Manager, responsible for managing long-term relationships with prominent Hydrogen plant technology providers in Europe.
Earlier in their career, Matthew worked at Tracerco Ltd as a Project Manager for Separation Technologies. Matthew conducted separator studies and troubleshooting projects, gaining experience in the processing of oil and natural gas. Matthew also worked as a Process Diagnostics Engineer, specializing in Neutron Backscatter technology.
Matthew's experience also includes a secondment to Maxoil Solutions, where they worked as a Process Engineer to gain a better understanding of process consultancy and build connections between process diagnostics and consultancy expertise.
Overall, Matthew Wilson's work experience demonstrates their expertise in energy transition, commercial management, technical leadership, and project management in the energy and chemical industries.
Matthew Wilson obtained a BEng (Hons) degree in Chemical Engineering from Teesside University. Matthew completed their studies in this field from 2006 to 2010.

Navigator Terminals is an independent bulk liquid storage provider with over 1.28 million cubic metres (cbm) of storage capacity. Formed in 2016, Navigator operates four terminals, each strategically located in major UK ports and serving key demand centres within the UK. Across these locations we are able to offer our customer’s unique storage solutions for crude, petroleum, aviation, chemical, bitumen, liquefied gas and biofuel products. Our extensive knowledge and experience of handling such a wide range of specialist products shows our versatility in adapting to ever-changing markets. With state-of-the-art petrol blending facilities and industry-leading road loading racks, we can ensure that our customers have the best experience in the country. Our terminals are pipeline-connected to local chemical manufacturing facilities and gas processing plants and each facility has been approved as a Upper Tier COMAH site. Our priority is to ensure the safe operation of its facilities, to deliver continuous product availability and to provide the highest level of customer service. We will continue to invest in infrastructure both at existing and new facilities to enable us to maintain these priorities and ensure our customers are able to grow and succeed. We have a well-trained and knowledgeable management team with over 200 years operating experience in the sector.
