Lisa Lewis has a diverse work experience in various government departments and organizations. Lisa started their career as a Tax Verifier and Processor at the NC Department of Revenue in 1996. Lisa then worked as an Accounting Clerk at the NC Dept of Environment and Natural Resources from 1997 to 1999. In 2000, they became an Accounts Payable Specialist at the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction before transitioning to the role of Business Office Manager at the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, where they worked from 2000 to 2009.

Lisa Lewis earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Management Information Systems from East Carolina University between 2008 and 2011. Lisa also holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Business Administration and Management from Central Carolina Community College, as well as an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the same institution.
