Develop and implement an internal and external communication plan to promote the Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention’s overall message, vision, mission, objectives, and values. Provide direct supervision of the Communications Office’s staff. Serve as a liaison to the Governor’s Press Office. Highlights include: co-authoring and designing the Department’s annual report; handling over 100 media requests; designing an employee news webpage; developing the “DJJDP News Blast”, an internal news bulletin; creating the “Did U Know” web features filled with interesting facts about the Department; initiating the Department’s employee recognition program titled “Champions for Youth,”; and organizing the first statewide new employee orientation.
