Data Scientist, Team Lead at NCCPA

Marcus Walker is a data scientist at the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) since December 2019. Previously, Marcus served as a student consultant at Emory University's School of Medicine from October 2015 to October 2019, focusing on developing computer vision algorithms in the Department of Radiology. Marcus also worked as a graduate research assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology from May 2012 to August 2018, programming algorithms for pediatric CT scans and managing clinical studies on cranial development. Early experience includes internships at Intelsat and Applied Global Technologies, where Marcus contributed to global network management and software product testing. Marcus holds a Ph.D. in Bioengineering, as well as a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, all from Georgia Institute of Technology.
