Ernesto Bocini is currently a Machine Learning Research Intern at Logitech, focusing on self-supervised machine learning for signal processing and mental state classification under the supervision of Pablo Mainar. Previous experience includes roles as a research student in both the NeuroAI and NLP labs at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, where supervision was provided by Prof. Martin Schrimpf and Syrielle Montariol, respectively. Ernesto has also served as a teaching assistant across multiple subjects related to AI and data science, and participated as a mentee in the Lead The Future Mentorship program, selected from a competitive pool of Italian students. Additional experience includes a consultancy position in data science at Magniflex and a machine learning project at Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich, working under Dr. Giulia Da Poian and Oriella Gnarra. Ernesto's academic background comprises a Master of Science in Data Science from EPFL, a Bachelor's degree in Statistics and Mathematics from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, and an exchange program at Lund University.
