Katie Nelson's work experience begins in 2014 as a Barista at Safeway. In 2015, they worked as a Cashier at Big 5 Sporting Goods, and then as a Medical Screener at Octapharma in 2016. Later in 2016, they became a Sales Associate at GameStop. In 2017, they worked as an Outside Lawn and Garden Associate at Lowe's Companies, Inc., and then as a Sales Associate at MetroPCS. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as a Team Manager at Maverik, Inc. Currently, they are working at NDM, starting as a Security Analyst in 2021, then becoming a Jr SIEM Engineer in 2022, and finally, as a SIEM Engineer I since February 2023.
Katie Nelson's education history begins with their completion of an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in DTA (Direct Transfer Agreement) from the Community Colleges of Spokane. Katie attended this institution from 2018 to 2020. In 2021, Katie enrolled at Western Governors University and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's of Science degree in Information Technology, expected to be completed in 2023.
In addition to their academic achievements, Katie has obtained several certifications. Katie became a certified CompTIA A+ professional in June 2021. Katie also received Food Handler Cards from the Spokane Regional Health District in November 2019. More recently, in December 2022 and January 2023, Katie obtained LogRhythm Security Analyst and LogRhythm Support Engineer certifications respectively from LogRhythm. In February 2023, they achieved various certifications from Securonix, including SNYPR Administrator, SNYPR Certified Security Analyst, SNYPR Content Developer, SNYPR Data Integrator, and Securonix Certified Deployment Engineer.
