Jason Jurgens is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in writing, directing, and producing videos. As Co-Founder and Executive Producer at Near Future, LLC since January 2015, Jason specializes in crafting narratives about people and products. Between February 2005 and February 2025, Jason founded and published The Owl Mag, a handcrafted music blog. Jason's previous roles include significant contributions at Square, where as Creative Lead, Brand / Video, from September 2011 to June 2014, Jason shaped creative vision for various campaigns and built a growing team. Jason also served as a Partner and Creative Director at Catapult Mediaworks, LLC, producing notable marketing content for Levi's. Additionally, Jason participated in numerous writing and videography projects across various publications and held positions at Storehouse Media Inc. and McEvoy Media, directing and producing video content. Jason earned a BA in English from the University of California, Berkeley.
