James Fessenden

James Fessenden has a diverse range of work experience, spanning various industries and roles. James most recently worked at NECI, starting in December 2019 as a Senior Project Manager before being promoted to Manager of Project Management in November 2020.

Prior to NECI, James worked at Fessenden Energy Solutions & Services in 2019 as a Principal, providing consulting services to energy projects. James conducted research, developed economic impact assessments, and provided risk assessments and mitigation measures for maritime traffic.

From 2011 to 2018, James held multiple roles at Cabot Norit Activated Carbon, including Environmental Commercial Director and Commercial Director of Emission Control Solutions. James oversaw commercial aspects of mercury emission control, managed sales strategy and pricing, and developed budgets and long-range plans.

Before that, James worked at Mobotec from 2002 to 2011. James held positions such as Manager of Proposals, Procurement & Estimating, Account Manager, and Project Manager. James was responsible for coordinating project proposals, leading business development and sales, and overseeing the implementation of air pollution control technologies.

James also gained experience at Alstom Power as a GT Commissioning Engineer in 2001 and at Willamette Industries as part of their Plant Manager training program in 2000.

James'searly career includes roles in the U.S. Coast Guard, where they served from 1995 to 2000. James held positions such as Cutter Maintenance Division Chief and Port Engineer Division Chief, managing maintenance support for Coast Guard Cutters and coordinating government contracts.

Overall, James Fessenden has extensive experience in project management, environmental and energy consulting, and sales and business development.

James Fessenden obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the US Coast Guard Academy, where they attended from 1991 to 1995. Additionally, they earned a certification in "The Essentials of Corporate Financial Analysis and Decision Making Specialization" from Coursera in December 2015.
