Cameron Po-Hsuan Chen

Cameron Po-Hsuan Chen is currently the Head of AI and Data Science at Need, an early-stage startup focused on developing a cancer protection system. Prior to this role, Cameron served at Google from August 2017 to April 2023 as a Tech Lead Manager and Staff Software Engineer/Researcher in Google Research/Google Health, specializing in machine learning applications for healthcare, including pathology and oncology. Cameron has over 30 published research papers in prestigious journals and has experience leading cross-functional teams and managing external partnerships. Additional experience includes roles at Vatic Labs as a Quantitative Researcher, Palantir Technologies as a Machine Learning Software Engineer, and Amazon as a Machine Learning Scientist. Cameron holds a PhD in Machine Learning and Computational Neuroscience from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University.
