Petros Giannikopoulos

Petros Giannikopoulos serves as the Principal Investigator and Director of the Interventional Genomics Unit at the Innovative Genomics Institute since March 2021. Additionally, Petros co-founded and leads scientific efforts at Need from February 2019 onward and holds a position as Assistant Adjunct Professor in Laboratory Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco since July 2023. Previous leadership roles include co-founder and President at Driver (April 2015 - December 2018), Laboratory Director at Adaptive Biotechnologies Corp. (July 2013 - June 2015), and co-founder and Partner at the Cancer Therapeutics Innovation Group (July 2011 - March 2015). Educational credentials include an M.D. from Harvard Medical School (2001 - 2006) and a B.S. in Biochemistry from UCLA (1997 - 2001).
