Prior roles include positions at Total and Maersk Oil, where expertise in deck crew operations, heavy lifting, and emergency systems management was developed. Phillip holds multiple certifications, including HLO, banksman slinger, and various offshore safety and operational training credentials. Early career experience includes working with Teekay on FPSOs and roles at GulfMark Offshore and Irish Ferries, beginning as a Deck Officer Cadet with James Fisher and Sons plc. Educational background includes attendance at Holyhead High School from 1992 to 1999.
