Catherine Woteki

Dr. Catherine Woteki, Ph.D. brings experience in regulatory science and science policy to the Board, currently holding positions as Professor of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Iowa State University and Visiting Distinguished Institute Professor at the Biocomplexity Institute of the University of Virginia. She served as Chief Scientist and Under Secretary for USDA’s Research, Education, and Economics (REE) mission area. Dr. Woteki served as Global Director of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs for Mars, Incorporated, was Dean of Agriculture and head of the Agricultural Experiment Station at Iowa State University, and served as the first Under Secretary for Food Safety at the USDA. She is currently a member of the National Academy of Medicine and is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the American Society for Nutrition.
