Tawny Javaherpour

Tawny Javaherpour is a seasoned professional in the biotechnology field with extensive experience in process development and engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist in Process Development at Neogene Therapeutics since June 2023, Tawny previously held the position of Principal Engineer at Instil Bio, focusing on tumor procurement process development, materials, and packaging engineering. Tawny's career also includes significant roles at Kite Pharma as a Senior Process Engineer II, where evaluations of new technology and equipment assessments for the Allo program were carried out, and as a Senior Process Engineer, specializing in CAR T process characterization and validation. Prior experience at Takeda involved multiple aspects of recombinant protein manufacturing support and process improvements, while an early introduction to research took place at Dr. Krishnansu Tewari Lab. Tawny holds a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from UCLA and a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Business Management from UC Irvine.
